It sure does not seem like it. Read this article about a school that collapsed outside of Port au Prince. No matter how strong my faith is or becomes I am not sure that I will ever understand why things like this happen, although I probably could not comprehend it even if I did know.

The death toll has risen significantly since last night when we wrote this. Here is an article from the BBC. but be careful because there are some disturbing images of the event.
November 12th Update
Another school collapsed in Haiti. Luckily, no one was killed, but several were injured, so do not be surprised if you hear more of this.

I saw this yesterday and immediately sent out a text to our original Haiti team. I was just sick to my stomach, I agree that it is hard to understand but long ago I stopped trying ti understand things like this and just trust that God has a plan in all of this.
