A Missouri college with special ties to the start of the Cold War are commemorating the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall today. Westminster also has the largest complete piece of the Berlin Wa […]

Support

As is the case whenever someone does this type of work, Danielle and I have to raise funds in order to accomplish these goals and continue to live in Haiti. Below are some of the ways which you can help.

IMPORTANT: Any money or item donated to us should be clearly marked “Curtis and Danielle Rogers” on a separate note with the check otherwise there is no way for our office workers to know who the donation is for. Also, you should get a receipt for any money donated, let us know if you do not.

Donation of Items:
The mission is in constant need of items such as batteries, medicines, toiletries, non-perishable food products, and other items. Many people choose to donate goods such as these for specific projects. NWHCM has a large warehouse system where these goods are stored and then sent to Haiti. Danielle and I will need these types of things to help the Far West campus function. Also items that could be used for projects mentioned on the “projects” page of this webistie, such as seeds, gardening tools, and other tools, would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to support us in this way please send items to the mission offices at one of the two locations below and mark clearly that it is for Curtis and Danielle Rogers.

One Time Gifts:
One time gifts are also a big part of funding projects such as the Jeep mentioned on the “projects” page of this website. As is the case with any monetary donation to NWHCM, one time gifts are tax deductible as a charitable donation and are a big part of what we do. Some people choose to donate money for feeding projects or construction, or even for the salary of a missionary. If you would like to support Danielle and I in this manner please send a check to the Versailles address below and make it out to Northwest Haiti Christian Mission. On a separate piece of paper write “Curtis and Danielle Rogers” and if the donation is for a specific project then you can also note that on the separate piece of paper.

Monthly Support:
This is the most important financial assistance for a missionary. Danielle and I need individuals, families, small groups, ministries, entire Churches, and even businesses to dedicate funds for us each month. This money will be in essence our salary. This will cover daily food expenses, travel abroad and stateside, supplies, and other basic needs. Essentially this is the money that we will live off of. As you can imagine, depending on other people for our living is both unsettling and yet at the same time liberating. Danielle and I have already seen the support of our friends and family in many ways and we know that it will continue. We want to stress that there is no such thing as an insignificant amount when it comes to monthly support. We cherish the five dollars a month from the young couple just as much as we will the thousand dollars from a large church. Danielle and I want to make our ministry part of the lives of the people around us and this is an easy way to join us in our work in Haiti. If you are interested in supporting us in this way make out a check to Northwest Haiti Christian Mission and on a separate note write “Curtis and Danielle Rogers- Monthly Support.”

Coming to Haiti:
One of the biggest problems that Danielle and I will face will be homesickness. Luckily NWHCM offers short-term mission trips during ten out of the twelve months in the year. This means that many of you have the opportunity to experience a mission trip and see exactly what Danielle and I do everyday. Nothing is more encouraging to us when we hear of friends and family who want to join us in the work that we are doing and so they decide to come down to Haiti. A trip through NWHCM is ideal for big groups, such as youth ministries, or even individuals. There are all kinds of jobs to be done, from painting to medical work, construction to playing with the kids, there is literally something for everyone to be involved in. If you are interested in doing this contact the mission offices at the phone number below.

Danielle and I are always willing to come and speak to church groups, businesses, or individuals about Haiti or to come and pick up donated items. If you are interested in having us come to you call us at the number below.

If you want to email us you can write it in the box below and it will be sent to our email account, we will read it as soon as possible:
